I am passionate about fighting climate change on a global scale. My academic background is in atmospheric science, and I used to TA for UWs big introductory climate change class so feel free to ask me any questions you have about global warming and what we are doing to combat it. I went into wind energy after grad school because I wanted to move from studying the problem to actually doing something about it, and I feel like I am doing that every day.
GE is one of the leading manufacturers of wind turbines, and we have clients all over America and the world. My job is to help our clients predict how much energy wind turbines will produce; how they can microsite those turbines to take full advantage of the wind resource; and how they can refurbish existing wind farms to extend their life and improve their productivity. My team, boss, etc are in upstate NY, but Seattle is my home sweet home so I negotiated a remote working arrangement that lets me stay in the city I love.
My husband and I live in the CD with our two cats. I am engaged with local politics. My favorite spots in town are Central Cinema, Chucks Hop Shop, and REI. We are re into camping, hiking, backpacking, climbing, and kayaking.
