Devin Israel Cabanilla is the Principal of Idea Threads. He offers business and cultural consulting for local and enterprise organizations. His consultancy works with business operations, intercultural training programs, community growth and healthcare. Devin consults for Seattle Children's - Odessa Brown Clinic, Urban Anomaly, and the Candarosa. Idea Threads also provides language learning using international student tutors for children in partnership with university intern programs.
Devin holds an MBA in Project Management & International Business and has post-grad studies in International Community Development from Northwest University. Additionally he is a public speaker and Secretary with the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) of Greater Seattle. Through research work and presentations he seeks to educate and expand diversity by sharing multicultural histories from the Northwest.
Devin is a member of Sanctuary Seattle, volunteers for MEDRIX International, and is a board member of the Buntain School of Nursing. He also speaks some Ilocano and basic Japanese.
He continues to advocate as a guest speaker in schools, communities, and mentors Christians of Color. Recently he led a panel with FANHS on racism at Seattle University called "Black, Blue, and Brown", which united Filipinos, the Seattle Police Department, and Community members in exploring race issues with the Black community and was a workshop leader at the national FACC conference.
